civil war colonel john rheinlander build c1850 ("over 100 years old" 1958) on top of hill amid a pine grove. Nicknamed "Pine Grove" perry twp 1899 map approximately near craig ave (older house?) set back off upper mt vernon rd north side John died 1908 and left to widow. Part of property developed. Pine Grove Realty Co later becomes Stinson Heights served as retreat getaway. hosted sacred heart picnic 1916 mrs rheinlander dies c1957 and house is deserted c1958 Proposed site for playground Razed c1960 and developed with newer houses
