built in 1927 to serve city afro-amer community opened sept 1928 largest african american school in evv governer st, clark and oakdale schools were incorporated into lincoln in 1928 lincoln garvin mccormick (morton) and bellmeade additions in 1961, 1964, 1975 large addition 2010 with two new wings good job blending old and new bricked to match
