ben franklin fire co built 1858 by levi clarke eastern engine house company never had a fire engine and disbanded c1860 pic 4/29/28

also locust st school 1868- Locust St School 9th primary [1863] locust st school [1866] [1868-9] [1871-2]

becomes hose house 05 1874 hose co no 3 (possibly a 5) 1884 steam engine company no 5 shut down 1894/5 for a while building in poor condition [1899] Union Gospel Mission 1907 joins with hose house 7 and moves to new station on St Joseph Ave livery 1910-158

hotel phoenix/phoenix hotel (moved from sycamore loc?) 717 locust built <1884 previously a city fire house (hose co no 3) converted to fifteen room hotel c1912 razed 1951
