History


Comments

The Evansville Suburban & Newburgh Railway provided passenger service to East Side suburbs and Newburgh Station built c1907 by Harris & Shopbell next to Majestic Theater replaced old depot

tracks extended to 4th and canal along canal to willow followed the railroad to chandler boonville line east of the city and crossed lincoln near green river road

passenger service stopped 1930 and only hauled freight. Completely closed 1940s

Station razed by 1962 not in 1960s photo
