2nd and Sycamore Streets looking south

Location is now NW 2nd at Sycamore--most structures destroyed. Visible are part of vickery bros, grocery store, on left and next to it parson & scoville, wholesale grocers. Across sycamore is the grein (formerly bma), corner of 2nd and main streets stood illinois central railroad ticket office. across main was the h j schlaepfer drug store and further on at locust st there still remains part of the building that housed the traction station. the distant steeple belongs to first cumberland presbyterian, which minus the tower now houses the scottish rite cathedral. on the right can be seen a small part of the Acme Hotel
